Skate Anytime Training Video-Puck Handling
Skate Anytime Synthetic Ice is perfect for practicing your hockey skills in the convenience of your our home. No more long drives to the rink or getting up at 6:00am to get to practice. You can head to the basement or garage and work on skating, shooting, passing or stick handling. In this video, Cory Mickey from 3D Hockey training will show you two easy techniques to improve your puck handling. These can be practiced in a matter of minutes, every day with synthetic ice. In the first drill, Cory will show you how to cup the puck using the toe of your stick. He starts with the top hand first which will work on strength training as well. He then will add his lower hand to finish off the technique. He describes forming a “U” like pattern to complete the drill. In his second component of the drill, Cory shows a push/pull drill with a slight bend in your knee. Incorporate both of these components together to complete the puck handling drill.
Hockey training is all about repetition and muscle memory. If you want to take your game to the next level, then synthetic ice in your home is the perfect solution for you.
